The GATE Programme is designed to help the most promising clinical academic trainees apply for funded higher degrees (MD or PhD) and/or Clinical Lectureship posts.

• NIHR Associate Principle Investigator scheme

​

The National Institute for Health and Care Research can link those interested in gaining skills in conducting clinical research with principle investigators running  a wide variety of studies in multiple locations. Applicants are mentored and gain practical experience for a 6 month period alongside their normal clinical work.
